Where is the official location to check calls and puts or options (trades) from the internet?
skahhh asked:
I want to check calls and puts against a stock. How do I do this officially? Are Yahoo’s records something to be trusted?

The Chicago Board Options Exchange
I have several times seen errors in Yahoo’s option quotes, so I do not trust them.
As Mike D indicated the Chicago Board Options Exchange, where most options are traded, is probably the most official source. You can get quotes from them at
The most reliable source is the exchange, where given options are being traded, in your case mostly .
You cannot get ask price of calls and puts on any website unless you have a trading account with some online traders. You will have to subscribe for that with for a nominal fees probably starting around $39. gives some online traders of options. If you subscribe to them you can get a trading window where the ask prices without any time lag appear and you can trade. Be careful with nake buying or selling you will have unlimited losses more than what you invest sometimes. CBOE might give delayed quotes, I haven’t checked it out recently.
