With GM going bankrupt, oil falling at an alarming rate, and global warming reaching an all time high, we are now moving towards alternative energy, and I found an awesome stock that I personally think is going to take off within a few years. The company is called Rentech. The stock symbol is RTK. I see HUGE potential in this company. They make synthetic fuel from garbage and the United Stated Air Force just signed on to buy millions of gallons of Rentech’s fuel. Their shares are hovering around .65 cents. I just bought $1,000 worth of shares and I’m gonna hold it for a year or two. I expect it to be at 5 dollars in a few years. There is tons of analysis on the stock floating around the internet and most people agree that this stock is set to take off. It’s just a matter of time.

EDIT: Also, I would invest in mutual funds. I’ve been watching IMLAX, and it looks like a great buy to me. Up until 2007, the fund was literally going straight up for years, averaging about a dollar per year and at an all time high of around 14.50. Two months ago it was at an all time low at 7 dollars, and in the last 2 months, it’s gone up two dollars. I just invested a few thou and I’m going to hold it for a few years.

These two picks won’t get you rich over night. Maybe before you turn 21, haha.
