What are the TRADING SYMBOLS that I can use to watch CRUDE OIL prices?
mrdanman@sbcglobal.net asked:
I like to watch the CALL and PUT options on the stocks that I own.
I like to watch the CALL and PUT options on the stocks that I own.
Now, because of the World condition and Gasoline prices, I would like to watch the same thing on Crude Oil.
I do not care about Oil Companys, per se, nor do I care about Futures, unless I have to start learning about those.
I am thinking there are CALL and PUT options on CRUDE OIL! What are the symbols?

They don’t exist my friend. You can’t buy share of oil and yes you should learn about Futures because this is how oil is traded (among many other commodities)
So here is a start and start watchin

Actually, as of last week, you CAN buy and sell oil on the stock market just like a stock. That’s because an Exchange Traded Fund has begun trading on the AMEX under the symbol USO. USO reflects an approximation of the actual price of crude oil.
