Reports from green bay say brett did not practice today because they gave him option of being back up or trade
All kinds of web site are saying the same thing. Favre missed practice today because when he met with head coach they told him he could comptete for qb job but on a limited basis. He would not get to run any 7 on 7 drills or 11 on 11 drills just pretty much of pakers way of saying hey were liars and brett is here but not allowed to compete.
option 2 was go home and were trading you. Brett will be traded to the Baltimore ravens by 8pm tonight?

How to buy calls and puts exactly?
I think I will begin my first option trade on the upcoming Monday,Sep 22nd (Is it the first day of the new options?) I just have a couple of questions that I have not cleared.
I’m currently trading at Etrade. Let’s say I want to buy 10 calls of LEH, what do I put in the contract column? Is 1 contract = 1 call or put?
Now I want to realize my profit before the expiration date(3rd Friday of each month before 4:30PM, right?) Should I use Sell to Close for my calls or puts? What exactly do I do if I want to exercise my options instead of realizing them?
If you were to buy options, which sector would you choose? I think I would choose airlines.
Thank you so much for your answers.

Is this stock and option trade considered a wash loss?
I bought a stock and call and put on it. I made a profit on the stock and took a loss on a call and put option. If I buy the stock and different put and call option strike prices within 30 days, is it considered a wash for my options losses for tax purposes?

I want to trade Options, currently I have E*trade. They said I’m only authorized for level 1 (covered calls).
I asked them to Upgrade me, but they said No. They couldn’t give me a reason and really treated me poorly and had me on the phone for 2 hours to tell me no. I am leaving E*trade, my question is what would qualify me for level 2 so I can trade long call and puts. Is it the amount of funds I have in my account, the value of my portfolio? On the application, I wrote down that I had 12 years in trading experience (which I do) I am really knowledgeable about options and understand all the risk and rewards. Can someone lend me some insight as to how I would be authorized to start trading option on E*trade or do they know if any of the other brokerage firms (Scottrade, Ameritrade, etc) would allow me if I asked?
